Prestigious scholars, diplomats and other high officials from both the EU and EU candidate countries were invited to consider the importance of federalism in the new EU constitution and to evaluate the role of federalism in the expanded European Union. The conference, which hosted 40 participants, was a mix of paper presentations, discussions, and multiple side events, which resulted in a poignant multi-disciplinary dialogue on the importance of federalism in Europe . |
