One of the major objectives of the Ashburn Institute is to promote and unite the democracies. However, it has chosen a special path to achieve its goal: educational and cultural exchange among the representatives of the global community through academic conferences and student conferences, roundtable discussions, meetings, publications, distant learning programs, and scholarship grants.

AI sees its promotion of global education among young people as the long term benefit to the society and is therefore striving to carry out its vision via expanding programs on democratic development. The programs are conducted at the academic level as well as graduate, undergraduate and high school levels, utilizing the latest state of the art technology to reach a large global audience.
