"Working for an Enlightened Global Society"
The Global Partners Network (GPN) is a global alliance of more than 40 individuals, organizations, institutions and corporations devoted to linking learners and learning institutions via technologies to effect cross-cultural and international appreciation for the similarity and diversity of the human experience.
Students of all ages, from around the world, are brought together in electronic distance learning conferences, projects and study groups to examine and share views on international issues -human rights, environment, governance, globalization, health and the general human condition. The expression of diverse perspectives on common problems are encouraged and brought into discussion. Students encounter and grow to value diversity as providing a rich resource for addressing complex human problems. Eventually, through open communications, a realization of a common humanness emerges providing all with common ground upon which to communicate and cooperate.
The Ashburn Institute serves as the Washington , D.C. hub for the Global Partners Network.
