Mr. Jacoby, a life-long educator, co-founded Global Education Motivators (GEM) in 1981 in an attempt to help meet the complex needs of bringing the world into the classroom. He has served as President and CEO of GEM since its creation and continues in that capacity today. A high school social studies teacher in suburban Philadelphia , Wayne took an early retirement in 1995 in order to manage GEM's programs fulltime. He provides a lot of the overall vision and programming for GEM.

Wayne joined the Association to Unite the Democracies several years ago and is now a key member of the Ashburn Institute. GEM and the Ashburn Institute are now working closely together to break down barriers to world peace and promote social responsibility and respect between young people of diverse races and cultures through the utilization of modern communication technology.

Wayne received his B.Ed . from Plymouth State College, his M.A. from Lehigh University , and his M.Ed. from Temple University .
