Mr. Stuart has been a Board Member of the Association to Unite the Democracies from the very beginning of its existence. He has been involved in numerous international peace activities and associations, which makes him an invaluable member of AUD. He earned an Honorary Doctor of Laws from the University of Illinois at Chicago , was inducted into Chicago Senior Citizens Hall of Fame, and became Person of the Year in 1997 with Corporate Responsibility Group. Mr. Stuart is a Founding President of the Presidents Association of Illinois, Past President of Corporate Responsibility Group (1998 Person of the Year), Past Director of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and Founding Chairman of National Minority Supplier Development Council. Robert Stuart obtained his B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Illinois in 1943, and a degree in the Program for Senior Executives from MIT in 1959.
