Robert L. Frantz
   

Robert L. Frantz has served as President and CEO of The Association to Unite the Democracies in Washington , D.C. for three years and is now President of the Ashburn Institute. He served for 20 years in the United States Marine Corps (retired as Lt. Col USMC (F-4 pilot). He had an experience in combat tour in Vietnam and also served NATO. After serving in the military, Bob spent 14 years as a Captain for United Airlines and flew all over the world before retiring in 2003. He also served for six years as a systems analyst for the Airline Pilots Association and for three years on the President's Commission for Airline Safety. He is currently President and CEO of The Distinguished Flying Cross Society consisting of 3500 members and 14 chapters across the U.S. Over the past six years, Bob has been volunteering at the National Air and Space Museum in development/fundraising. Mr. Frantz earned his B.A. from the University of Minnesota in Liberal Arts. He obtained an M.S. degree in Systems Management from the University of Southern California .
